About Image Packer
Image Packer, created by Quint‑Vrolijk, is a Blender add‑on that consolidates multiple pictures into a single canvas. Its interface is placed in the Image Editor, where you can choose among four packing strategies and control the scaling and placement of each picture.
Square Packing produces a square output (1 × 1) and can either keep the original aspect ratios or stretch images to fill the space. Row Packing aligns all pictures to share the same height, Column Packing aligns them to share the same width, and both calculate the median aspect ratio of the collection. Next Fit Packing retains each picture’s original dimensions but may introduce empty rows.
The final image size can be defined by the average, median, smallest, or largest side length of the source pictures, or you may enter a custom dimension.
Additional features include randomizing the order of pictures, inserting padding, setting a background color, removing unused images from the blend file, or loading every image in the file into the packing queue. Version 1.0.7 introduced a button for directly adding files. The add‑on is distributed under GPL v3.0 or later and is compatible with Blender 4.2 LTS and newer.
Features
- Four packing modes: Square (1×1 output), Row (equal height), Column (equal width), and Next Fit (keeps original sizes, may leave gaps between rows)

- Add padding around each image and change the background colour
- Randomize the order of images before packing
- Delete unused images in the blend file, or add all images in the file to the packing list
- Add files directly (added in 1.0.7)
