About Layer Displayer
Layer Displayer is a script for After Effects that shows only the layers you need at a given moment. You control visibility through short typed commands, such as hiding masks (msk), nulls (n), locked layers (lo), enabled layers (en), or both locked and enabled together (le). Reveal commands include work area (wa), grey‑label layers (vn), guide layers (gl), and matching selected layer labels (l#) or parent labels (pa). The script can toggle the Shy parameter for all layers (is) and provides keyframe selection commands: ‘kfs’ selects keys under the time slider and ‘ksfs’ selects keys within the work area for selected layers. Layers can be grouped without relying on labels; groups are displayed by name and can be cleared from a layer. Version 1.08, released May 6 2021, is compatible with After Effects 2020, CC 2019 and CC 2018.
