About Light Patterns

Light Patterns is a plugin for Adobe After Effects designed to generate light patterns from a built‑in library of controllable movement styles. All elements are summarized into one layer, which helps maintain an organized timeline without spreading settings across multiple layers. Users can set the start and end points of the light motion and define the timing range through In and Out markers. The interface is described as easy to use, and the plugin also provides an option to modify the shadow map, as covered in the developer’s tutorial. Version 1.0 was released on March 15, 2025 and is compatible with After Effects 2025, 2024, 2023, and 2022. A demo video is available for preview.
