About SplitGrid

SplitGrid is a script for Adobe After Effects that generates split-screen and grid layouts. Users specify the number of rows and columns, and the composition is automatically filled. The tool supports layouts up to 100 × 100 panels and allows arrangement by rows or columns, from any corner, or in a zig‑zag pattern. Spacing and optional borders can be added between panels. Version 1.3 introduced a preset system with 16 presets and a shape‑layer option for both panels and dividers, plus a UI that can be reduced to a minimal window size. Compatibility includes After Effects 2026 back through CC 2017.
