About Slice it Up 2

Slice it Up 2 provides a procedural, non‑destructive method for creating slice effects in After Effects. Developed by Rendertom, the plugin can produce an unlimited number of slices and operates in both 2D and 3D environments. Controls focus on randomisation, allowing users to randomise slice width, height, distribution (random or linear) and axis direction at any time, as well as regenerate previous seeds to revisit earlier looks. A mask‑size control lets the slice mask be expanded or shrunk. Version 2.1.2 was released on 14 February 2026 and maintains compatibility with After Effects releases from CS4 through the 2026 version, covering CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC 2014‑2015.3, CC 2017‑2025 and CC 2026. A demo video is available on the developer’s website.
