About textsyncr
textsynchron is an automatic speech-to-markers engine for After Effects. It processes an imported English audio track and a matching transcription, aligning the text to the audio as layer markers. These markers can be used to generate automatic captions, subtitles, or lyrics with a few clicks, and can also drive other tools such as Monkey. Version 1.8 was released in July 2026 and lists compatibility with After Effects releases from 2026 back to CS5, including CC and CS series versions. The plugin is distributed as free software in this catalog, though licensing terms should be verified on the developer’s page.
