About Zaebects Modulation

Zaebects Modulation applies modulation and demodulation algorithms to video footage to produce an analog distortion look without requiring coding. Brightness drives signal frequency: brighter areas generate higher frequencies, darker areas lower frequencies. Wave movement is shaped by Omega (scale), Phase (color reaction), and Distortion (wave count), plus low‑pass filter options and direction/orientation controls. Five color modes—Greyscale, RGB, CMY, CMYK, and HSV—allow channel‑specific adjustments, and individual channels can be toggled on or off. Version 2.1.0 adds Premiere Pro support alongside a broad range of After Effects versions.

Features

  • True physical modulation and demodulation algorithm
  • Omega, Phase and Distortion controls for wave movement
  • Three lowpass filter checkboxes plus one adjustable lowpass filter
  • Five color modes: Greyscale, RGB, CMY, CMYK and HSV
  • Switchable individual channels
  • Forward and backward wave directions
  • Vertical and horizontal wave orientations

Best for

Applying analog‑style distortion effects in video projects without writing code.
