About FxFactory Caption Burner

FxFactory Caption Burner burns captions and subtitles into the video image, which is useful for platforms that do not accept caption metadata. The plugin runs in Final Cut Pro X, Motion, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and DaVinci Resolve on macOS computers with Apple Silicon or Intel processors. It can import iTunes Timed Text (iTT), WebVTT (VTT), SubRip (SRT), SubViewer (SUB), Adobe Encore Script, and Adobe Premiere Pro Markers (CSV). A single timeline instance can hold several languages, and a menu selects which one is rendered. Captions can be exported back to many of the same formats plus the Noise Industries Caption Converter format. The plugin relies on FxFactory (a free download) and uses Metal graphics acceleration to keep render overhead low.

Caption Burner is listed as free, but it requires the FxFactory host application, which also offers a paid Pro version with identical system requirements.
