About Labels 4

Labels 4 is an After Effects utility from Rendertom that streamlines label color management. A single button click can set or reset label colors, select groups, and filter used or unused colors, with support for custom colors and shareable themes. It operates on keyframes (in After Effects v22.6+), layers, and project panel items. Additional layer utilities let you create a shape or solid layer matching a label color, copy a label’s HEX value, group or parent layers by color, move layers up or down the stack, and toggle shy or solo states. The plugin also functions as a script launcher and provides a Labels API for custom extensions. Compatibility spans After Effects CS5 through the 2026 release, with keyframe color support requiring v22.6 or newer.
