About MographAE

MographAE, developed by Kai Henthorn-Iwane, offers a set of tools for After Effects designed to streamline the creation of intricate animations. It includes three cloners—Grid for arranging layers in a matrix, Array for radial distribution, and Linear for straight-line placement. Five effectors modify animated properties: Field reacts to proximity with custom easing and noise controls, Step animates sequentially based on layer index, Inheritance transitions position and rotation between cloners, Target repels and directs layers, and Noise applies random patterns. The toolkit is compatible with After Effects 2022 through 2025 and ships with detailed documentation for each component. Version 1.7, released in January 2025, resolves a UI issue present in AE 2025.
