About Ebberts + Zucker Rubberize It
Rubberize It! gives After Effects layers rubber‑like behavior in seconds without keyframes. It displaces puppet pins based on a layer’s acceleration, so changes in position, rotation or scale automatically trigger a reaction, even when inherited from a parent layer. Users place puppet pins, choose a material preset—Rubber, Plastic, Goop, Vinyl, Sponge, Blubber, Putty, or Jelly—or create custom materials with sliders, then click Rubberize. Additional tools include a Chaos feature for random variation, two reaction formulas, a Clean button to remove expressions, a Smart Rubberize button, and a Bake function to accelerate preview and rendering. The plugin supports After Effects 2025 back to CC 2015.3.

Frequently asked questions
Which After Effects versions does Rubberize It support?

How does Rubberize It create its rubber effect?
The plugin displaces puppet pins according to a layer’s acceleration, causing the layer to react to changes in position, rotation or scale, which creates the rubber‑like effect.
