Slice It 3D is an After Effects plugin from MotionCodes that creates 3D‑depth slices from a pre‑composed layer using simple rectangle and linear masks. The workflow is consistent: pre‑comp the layer, draw a main rectangle mask, add linear masks to define cut positions, and the plugin generates slices. Six slicing styles are included, each supporting fully adjustable thickness—set globally or per slice, keyframe, and animate in 3D. Automatic thickness synchronization keeps slices aligned when a uniform result is needed. Users can assign footage as surface material; the plugin builds a texture pre‑comp for all slices or a unique texture per slice, placed on cross‑sections realistically. The UI groups controls for color, shadow, transform, and lighting, offering a streamlined experience for motion‑graphics artists.
