About versionUp

versionUp is a script for Adobe After Effects that moves through versioned footage. Clicking the up and down arrows cycles between versions, while Shift‑Click jumps to the newest or oldest version. Option‑Click (Alt on PC) increments a trailing letter, e.g., v001a to v001b, and the script skips non‑existent versions. It operates on stills, movies, and image sequences and updates version numbers in comp and folder names as well as file paths. A settings panel allows customization, and non‑UI scripts can be assigned to Kbar buttons or bound to custom keyboard shortcuts. The script is compatible with After Effects releases from CS5 through 2026.
