About CADBase Library

CADBase Library is a Blender add‑on for managing a local library of components sourced from the CADBase platform. The add‑on displays favorite components at a root level; selecting a component shows its available modifications, and opening a modification reveals the files contained in that modification’s Blender file set. These three navigable levels correspond to folder locations set via the Library path property. Users can retrieve data from the remote platform with the Pull action, which updates the local library and navigation view. An Auto pull option can download data automatically when an empty folder is opened, and a Forcibly update files option bypasses hash verification to force file uploads. Only Blender‑specific files are downloaded; files for other CAD programs are excluded. The add‑on requires Blender 4.2 LTS or newer and is distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
