About AE Global Renamer

AE Global Renamer is a bulk‑renaming panel for After Effects (developer Lloyd Alvarez) that can rename items across an entire project. It handles project panel item names, layer names, effect names, text in text layers, layer and comp markers, expressions, property names and their children (masks, puppet pins, shape layer properties), and render‑queue footage paths. The panel supports unlimited search‑and‑replace pairs, prefix and suffix addition, and incremental numbering with padding and custom increments. Users can rename all matches at once or individually, limit changes to duplicates, and enable regular‑expression matching. Presets can be saved and reused, and the UI is small and dockable anywhere in the workspace. It is compatible with After Effects CC 2015 through 2025.
