About aescripts + aeplugins Paint & Stick

Paint & Stick extends After Effects by allowing artists to paint raster strokes directly in the comp view, preserving the context of other layers, effects, track mattes and adjustment layers. Its patented Stick technology paints onto rendered Cinema 4D frames without requiring 3D objects inside After Effects; a single painted frame propagates across the whole animation. The plugin provides customizable onion‑skinning for cel animation and can be applied to adjustment layers. A free Sticky Pass export plugin for Cinema 4D (R14‑R20) creates multi‑pass renders compatible with the workflow. Version 2 introduces a Brush Palette with scattering, shape and color dynamics, a fill brush, keyboard shortcuts, and support for Adobe Photoshop brushes via an export tool. Fast Draw mode renders strokes on the UI for smooth performance up to 4K resolution.

Features

  • Paint directly in the comp window, in context of other layers such as effects, track mattes and adjustment layers

  • Fast Draw mode that draws strokes on the UI for smooth performance, working even at 4K
  • Free Sticky Pass export plugin for Cinema 4D that treats Paint & Stick passes as multi-pass render passes
