About True Comp Duplicator

True Comp Duplicator, developed by Brennan Chapman, duplicates complete comp hierarchies in After Effects, preserving sub‑comps and optionally duplicating associated footage items. The script provides a depth‑limit setting, an include/exclude filter with regex support, and improved naming for the copies. It updates expressions in the duplicated comps so that references remain functional, and it can generate multiple copies in a single operation. The tool works with After Effects versions from CS3 through AE 2026. Version 3.9.14 was last updated in October 2020 and includes a fix for global memory‑space issues. A demo video is available on the developer’s page.
