About Guides
Guides, developed by Rendertom, is a script for After Effects that lets users create and manipulate guides within the application. It works across single or multiple compositions and layers, allowing copying and pasting of guides, saving guide setups for later reuse or sharing, and clearing guides in bulk. Additional functions include rotating guides, moving them horizontally or vertically, adding guides at composition or layer edges, centers, or wrapping them around edges. Users can also generate grids by adding a guide every X pixels or dividing a composition into a set number of pieces, and toggle the Lock Guides, Snap to Guides, and Show Guides states for many compositions at once. Compatibility spans After Effects CC 2019 through the 2026 release. A fully functional 7‑day trial is provided, after which a full license is required.
