About Pixion

Pixion is a GPU‑accelerated particle system for After Effects that relies on emitter layers to create particles from any source layer. Pixel data—including luminance and color—is read from the emitter to influence particle behavior, while a separate modifier layer can further drive motion. Built‑in turbulence provides organic movement, and gravity and wind forces add additional control. Particles can use custom shapes, including other layers, and support auto orientation or camera‑facing options. The plugin works with depth of field and motion blur, and offers adjustable simulation speed, a pre‑run option, and a blend mode for overlapping particles. Pixion is compatible with After Effects 2026, 2025, 2024, and 2023.
