About Fluxion

Fluxion, developed by grape design, is a GPU‑based particle plugin for After Effects version 1.1. It generates a vector field from one or more masks, allowing control over field width, falloff, scale, and sampling density, and can reverse flow or let particles continue past mask ends. Emission can be driven by Box, Sphere, Point, or Mask emitters, each with size and rotation controls (non‑mask types). Particle attributes such as emission rate, lifetime, speed, size, opacity, rotation, and their variations are adjustable, with built‑in turbulence, gravity, wind, and air resistance shaping motion. The plugin supports 3D cameras, depth of field, motion blur, and custom layer particles, and offers gradient control, graph‑based curves for size and opacity over life, and eight blending modes, all within a clean UI.

Features

  • Generates a vector field from one or more masks and makes particles flow along it, with control over field width, falloff, scale, and sampling density
  • Reverse the flow or let particles continue past mask ends
  • Emitter types include Box, Sphere, Point, and Mask, with size and rotation control on non-mask emitters
  • Built-in turbulence, gravity, wind, and air resistance, with Simulation Scale for timing
  • Control emission rate, lifetime, random seed, speed, size, opacity, rotation, and their variations
  • 3D support with camera, depth of field, and motion blur, plus custom layer particles
  • Gradient control, graph-based size and opacity over life, and 8 blending modes

Best for

Creating particle animations that follow mask‑defined vector fields while leveraging GPU performance and 3D features in After Effects.
