About TypeMonkey

TypeMonkey is a script for After Effects that creates complex kinetic type animations without the need for keyframes. Users define parameters in a control panel, and the script generates random type layouts, distributing words evenly over the composition or work area. Timing is adjusted by sliding markers on a keyframe-less timeline, while a parented camera points to each successive word. Manual controls for size, position, rotation, and opacity remain available. The Marker Sync feature aligns the animation with existing marker layers, facilitating synchronization to music. Compatibility includes After Effects 2025 through 2020 and CC 2019 back to CC 2015.3. The current version is 1.26, updated in August 2024.
